You have to love when magazines champion homegrown talent and Vogue Australia gives up its latest to Aussie national treasure, Kylie Minogue. Following a foursome of diverse Australian beauties last month, the magazine kick-starts Kylie’s 50th birthday celebrations with a joyous cover photographed by Vogue Australia regular Nicole Bentley. Four years after her last Aussie Vogue cover appearance, Kylie is all smiles for May 2018, looking like she’s having a blast playing dress-up in Chanel (styled by Kate Darvill).
Kylie x Vogue Australia was an instant hit with our forum members. “The only Kylie that should be on each generation’s lips. Word. I love me some Kylie. I love some generic laughing carefree shot. I love this. Perfect. I also love the backstage concept,” applauded MON the moment the cover dropped.
“LOVE the cover, and so happy to see the legend Kylie!!! A British Vogue cover next please,” MDNA chimed in.
“This is adorable! I love it and it’s great to see Kylie. Vogue Australia coming through for once!” declared magsaddict.

Also fond of the cover was forum member Tony Fersen, writing, “Her joy is infectious, love Kylie on this cover!”
“Was never her biggest fan, but this cover is great!” Benn98 confessed. “Her smile is so infectious, and a little dress always looks cute on her. Very festive, would’ve been perfect for December. Great work from Bentley!”
We couldn’t always agree on everything, right? “What a horrible cover, how can they do her so wrong? This belongs on Bravo magazine, or Grazia, how cheap, tacky, and her deranged laugh, ugh! I don’t get how VA always messes up her covers, the woman is so photogenic and lovely!” slammed Miss Dalloway.
“Always had a soft spot for Kylie but she looks like a maniacal Nicole Kidman here,” added ellastica.
