This season’s runways have been awash with the stuff of dreams, and by that we mean nighties, transparent layers and boob cups. And as our ‘grams from this weekend may have already made clear, they look damn good. How will they translate to your everyday wardrobe though? Well, isn’t that always the question. Here we present a guide to pulling of Paris Fashion Week’s biggest (and most challenging to wear) Spring 2016 trends, IRL.

While Loewe’s saran wrap pants may not be making it into your closet anytime soon, layering the see-through look overtop your existing outfit will create enough hide-and-show appeal without completely shocking your average passerby.

Neck-tying your hair
A frequented styling trick used over the past few seasons, wrapping a scarf or necklace overtop models’ hair looks impossibly chic. Trying it home can often result in an “I just came from the slopes” look (and we don’t mean in a good way). To execute the look á la Nina Ricci, tie a scarf or pull a neckband (J.W. Anderson’s fall version is seriously trending on the streets right now) over while your hair lies flat below, and then lift small sections up slowly with a comb.

The boudoir inspired trend has been going strong since Vuitton’s ode in 2013, so chances are that you may already have something in your closet. The difference with this season’s version is its nymph-like, almost childish quality. To pull the look off without going into full Lolita territory, toughen it up with some sharp hardware as seen here on the Dior runway.

The mid-‘90s Madonna look is making a comeback, albeit more subtle, as pictured here at Balenciaga. This look isn’t so much about how to wear it, rather, how to find the perfect fit. So, since we’re dealing with cups here, do as you do at the lingerie store and pull each of your goodies up with your opposite hand. If your cup doesn’t runeth over, you’ve found the right one. And for those ladies whose T and A (or T and Waist) aren’t exactly “average,” alterations are easily done.

Depending on your height, this Kenzo stunner could actually just be your whole leg. To avoid looking like you’re playing dress up with your mom’s clothes, pair it with a boss bitch suit like the one pictured here or a super slim leg pant (tights are fully acceptable) and a loose-fitting sweater.
