Tory Burch Reimagines Layering for Fall

Videos

Welcome to Runway Matters, where we're delivering notes straight from the runway so you can quickly digest the most important trends and noteworthy moments from the F/W 18 shows.

Tory Burch may have first earned a cult following for her iconic bags and footwear, but after just one look at her latest show, this editor certainly feels like dressing in head-to-toe Tory will be a difficult temptation to resist. Models walked the runway, which was actually more of a grassy garden path, surrounded by a field of pink flowers that brought to mind a British garden—all I was missing was a cup of tea to finish off my morning.

I've come to love Tory's outerwear especially, and this season didn't disappoint. With styles ranging from a structured military-style coat to an unbelievably cozy-looking shearling number, playing favorites when it came to coats proved a challenge. Also worth noting were the bold hits of color: Head-to-toe oranges and pinks that, while traditionally reserved for spring, fit right in with the fall essentials presented. See the full show along with a few of our favorite highlights below.

Rich oranges, pinks, and blues made for a bold statement on the runway.

Ladylike handbags in bold jewel-tones and neutrals alike will have you craving something structured for fall.

What's better than one coat? Try two. For the seasons ahead, Tory Burch inspired a whole new wave of layering.
