I've Been an Editor for 4 Years—These Are the Pieces I Always Put in Stories

There's nothing complicated about this story. Simply put, I've been a Who What Wear editor for about four years, and I couldn't begin to tell you how many stories I've written in that time, but I'm positive it's somewhere in the thousands. That means the number of shoppable pieces I've put in stories in that time is somewhere in the tens of thousands. I love finding new brands and trends to present to you, our loyal readers, but there are also certain pieces that are timeless and brands that do certain categories so well that I keep going back to them. Not only that, but after putting this roundup together, I realized that I now even own every one of these pieces except for one (Note to self: Get an Away suitcase). That's how good they are.

Read on to shop the pieces that I'm fond enough of to constantly include in stories and buy for myself and to find out what makes them so, well, magical.

Staud is constantly releasing the latest and greatest affordable It bags, and I wish I had a dollar for every time I got compliments on my quirky-cool bags by the brand.
It's just a fact that Re/Done makes the coolest jeans on the planet. They're a worthy investment, in my opinion. Available in sizes 24 to 29.
Re/Done is also responsible for the softest, coolest-fitting tees in an array of solid shades and graphics. Available in sizes XS to L.
It goes without saying but there are few occasions that Reformation doesn't make a perfect dress for.  Available in sizes 0 to 12.
Le Specs's array of affordable sunglasses (that everyone always wants) will make your wardrobe better.
I try to diversify my swimsuit collection, but Solid & Striped keeps getting better and better. Available in sizes XS to L.
I'm a big fan of Madewell's denim shorts because they come in modest lengths with modest price tags to match. Win-win. Available in sizes 23 to 32.
Pixie Market is constantly releasing perfect tops that are just trendy enough. (And many are under $100.) Available in size S.
While pricey, I fully believe that Gucci loafers are worth every penny. They're timeless and will instantly become the most comfortable shoes you own.
Natori bras have countless five-star reviews on Amazon and Nordstrom. They're both functional and pretty, and I highly recommend trying them for yourself. Available in sizes 32B to 36DDD.
I own seven denim jackets, and the Levi's trucker denim jacket is the one I wear the most (by far). Available in sizes 1X to 3X.
Feel free to call me biased (my engagement and wedding rings are by Anna Sheffield), but she makes the coolest fine jewelry around.
Whenever I have a need for a sweatshirt in a story, my go-to is Champion. The brand never fails to deliver cool sweats. Available in sizes XS to XL.
People love Everlane shoes. The quality is high and the prices are reasonable. What more do you need?
Okay, I put a lot of Zara pieces in stories (can you blame me?), but whenever I need a blazer to add, I go straight to Zara and it always delivers. Available in sizes XS to XXL.
Iro leather jackets are pricey, but if you're looking for a timeless one that's buttery soft and offers a perfect fit, I highly recommend saving up. Available in sizes 34 to 44.
Trust Me—Hanky Panky is the ultimate purveyor of comfortable, pretty underwear.  Available in plus size. Shop regular size here.
Christy Dawn releases new dresses (made with deadstock fabric) multiple times a week. You'll want them all. Available in sizes XS to XL.
Everyone raves about Away luggage, and it looks so stylish, making it the perfect fit for travel story inclusions.
I don't know that I've ever written a legging story without including at least one pair from Alo. The brand has started more legging trends than I can even name over the years. Available in XXS to XL.
Acne Studios' Jensen boots have been my favorite ankle boots for years. They're the coolest version of walkable Chelsea boots I've come across.

Next up, shop the affordable fall shoes I'm buying before everyone else.
