How I Styled $45 Ankle Boots for Stockholm Fashion Week

Fashion News

The task: Pack for the journey from Los Angeles to Stockholm Fashion Week. The strategy: Find practical pieces for the Scandinavian city's snowy streets that also look chic and fit with my personal style. Thankfully, I think I found a look (or two) that checked all the boxes.

For day one, I opted for a bright red Claudia Li coat with Nike sneakers, but for day two, I decided to mix it up with some ankle boots. After spotting them on our editor in chief, Kat Collings, I went with the Who What Wear Behati Booties ($45) from our collection at Target. Since there was a ton of fresh snow on the ground, flat boots were a reasonable choice—the cool patent material and easy-on-the-wallet price tag didn't hurt, either.

I wore the ankle boots with the Diane von Furstenberg Long-Sleeve Floor-Length Jacket ($798), Paloma Wool Guiri Sweatshirt ($85), and J.Crew jeans. Not pictured (but extremely vital for Stockholm weather in January): my Uniqlo Heattech Ultra Warm Crew Neck T-Shirt ($25) and Heattech Ultra Warm Leggings ($25). Scroll down to see the full look, captured by Szymon Brzóska of The Style Stalker, and shop the pieces.

What I wore: Diane von Furstenberg Long-Sleeve Floor-Length Jacket ($798); Paloma Wool Guiri Sweatshirt ($85); J.Crew Vintage Crop Jeans in Landers Wash (sold out); Who What Wear Behati Booties ($45)
I love how this coat plays with different shades of blue.  Available in sizes P to L.
Paloma Wool is my favorite indie brand from Spain.  Available in sizes S to L.
My exact J.Crew jeans are sold out, but these are a very similar alternative.  Available in sizes 23 to 32.
These shiny patent boots will spruce up any outfit.  Available in sizes 6 to 11.

This press trip was paid for by Patriksson Communication. Editor's opinions are her own.
